BARS & NIGHTLIFE
There are so many great bars and places to go out for a night on the town! Whether you're looking for live music, games, or dancing - there's a place for you! Below is a list of some of my favorite spots.
barleymash: also featured on my recommendations for food & drinks here, barleymash is a great place for dancing and good drinks. they have entertainment 7 days a week (DJs, beer tastings, and sporting events playing on several overhead TVs).

Bluefoot Lounge: located in North Park, Bluefoot Lounge is a fun place for drinks and dancing! I've only been there once, but the DJ was playing such great music I did not want to leave the dance floor - even for a drink refill! If dancing isn't your thing, they have pool tables and plenty of great beers on tap!

Knotty Barrel: Knotty Barrel offers happy hour Monday-Friday from 4-7pm. They also have a pet-friendly outdoor area with corn hole! Knotty Barrel is conveniently located Downtown and is a great place to start out your night.

Moonshine Flats: Moonshine is on of my favorite places to go for a night out! It is located in Downtown (and they have a location in Pacific Beach called Moonshine Beach). Moonshine Flats is split into two sections - one side has live country music, line dancing, a shot chair, etc. and other side has games and top 40 music. Punchbowl Social: Punchbowl is a unique place to spend a night out. They have an arcade, several bars, different games (bowling, shuffleboard, giant jenga, darts, & ping pong), and my personal favorite - a photo booth! They also have drinks that come in a large punchbowl.
Scout Tip: put your name on the list for bowling right when you get there and enjoy the other games while you wait! Click here for more on Punchbowl Social.
Rustic Root: also featured on my recommendations for lunch and dinner here, Rustic Root is an amazing rooftop bar in Downtown. They also have an indoor dining area downstairs, but there's nothing better than drinks and music on a rooftop, in my opinion! For more on Rustic Root, visit their website here.
The Tipsy Crow: Tipsy Crow is made up of 3 levels which makes it appealing for many different party styles! The main level is a typical bar, the downstairs is for dancing (and home to the Gaslamp Comedy Show), and the upstairs (The Nest) is a nice lounge vibe. Tipsy Crow offers special events like Bachelor Mondays and Football Sundays. For more on the Tipsy Crow, click here.
Trailer Park After Dark: TPAD is probably one of the most fun bars I've been to in San Diego! It is underground and it is complete with bar chairs made of shopping carts, two large trailers, and an area to play old school N64 games!
Scout Tip: come to this bar early in the night as it gets pretty crowded! For more on TPAD, click here.
Vin de Syrah: Vin de Syrah is an Alice in Wonderland themed wine parlor. They offer private tastings and bottle service. I enjoyed looking at all the decor, including the hidden front door! For more information on Vin de Syrah, visit their website here.
